This hardware-based setup enables users to develop battery-charging algorithms using MATLAB Simulink block sets. The developed algorithms can be programmed into the hardware for real-time verification and validation. Pre-built Kalman Filter and Coulomb Counting models are provided for SoC and SoH estimation.
Users can test CC–CV charging at different transition voltage levels and analyse voltage and current responses. The effects of different Kp, Ki, and Kd values on charging-current control can also be studied. An interactive animated board viewer displays the real-time status of the charging and discharging processes.
